Explosion-proof gas detection for chemical, pharmaceutical and petrochemical sites
Combustible, toxic and VOC channels in hazardous areas, with corrosion-resistant housings and interlocks to process equipment.
A chemical site rarely has one gas problem. A reactor area can carry a flammable solvent, an acid vapour and an oxygen-displacement risk within a few metres of each other, and each needs a different sensing principle and a different alarm threshold.
The practical answer is a mixed deployment: catalytic or NDIR channels for %LEL coverage at the vessel and pump seals, electrochemical channels for the specific toxic gas of each process, and PID for the VOC fugitive emissions that no single toxic channel would catch.
Because the area is classified, every housing, cable gland and junction box has to match the zone. Where the site needs interlocks, the detector relays drive shutdown or extraction directly rather than routing through an operator decision.
